what you need to know…

Thank you for joining us at the Hempery for Gratitude Week.

Here is what you need to know and directions…

***Driving Out***

If you need a ride please ask or make arrangements. There are many coming from Calgary and other places.

Directions to the farm (31064 RR52, Watervalley, AB).

Note: following google or apple maps is not recommended. We recommend to follow the below directions.

We are 1hr NW of Calgary (via Cremona) and 2.5hrs from Edmonton (via Olds).

Directions from Calgary
Get onto hwy 22 going north from Cremona.
Get to Cremona via hwy 2 and 580 if you live near deerfoot OR via lochend road (hwy 766) from crowchild.

Go 5mins north of Cremona on hwy 22.
Go west at twp 304 (also burnt timber road). Go for 2mins.
(NOTE: If you are coming from EDM take twp 312 to RR45 and follow directions from there)
Go north on RR45. Go for 3mins.
The road will turn west (left) sharply and turn into twp 310. Stay west on twp 310 for 4mins.
Go north on RR52 (gravel road). We are at the end of road on LHS, look for big silver quonset.

When you arrive park on the west side of the quonset.
Go to WEST end of Quonset, not the house.

***HOW Gratitude Week Works work…***

Each symphony is a co-created volunteer based weekend (see scheduling below). You are welcome to stay for a few hours or a few days, whatever fits your flow. Symphonies are family friendly events that are focused around community building and getting things done.

All work tasks (making bio-char, chopping wood, planting, transplanting, preparing meals, etc.) are outlined in an organized fashion and you are invited to co-create where you feel called while at the Hempery.

If you are staying on the bus, please check in with Luc or Meg to reserve your spot. All spots are full for this symphony.

There is also indoor or outdoor camping (or bring your RV) if you want to camp.

***Hempery Exchange***
In exchange for helping out with planting related activities, the Hempery will supply meals, stock the fire-pit and offer indoor camping in the heated dreamweaver bus or quonset. There is also outdoor camping on the land at your discretion. Welcome those who wish to learn about hemp and those would love to get their hands dirty.

***Important Notes***
- Our base for this event is at the west end of the Quonset, not the house
- the Quonset has a compost toilet and is heated so it is comfy
- Cell service is bad at the farm
- Please RSVP with Meg or Luc before you come so we know how many for meals

***What to Bring***
It's spring and although the weather is looking good, please bring warm clothes, good footwear and gloves if you have them.

Also bring all the things you would for camping or a festival such as headlamp, things to roast on fires, bug spray/sunscreen, clothes for rain, clothes for cold, costumes, musical instruments, etc.

If you get lost follow the directions above because we have no cell service to guide you.
Any other questions text or call Meagan at 403 877 7582.
